I want to be intentional about my service to Jesus! I have the awesome opportunity and responsibility to be the Lead Worshipper at Bethel Baptist Church! This affords me the pleasure of organizing and preparing for corporate worship, conducting weekly structured practice for the adult choir as they lead out in worship and special events, and providing individual opportunities to participate through special music and service in our audio/video booth. Annual events that include an Easter Musical Drama and Christmas programs are other area of emphasis that provides additional service platforms.
I am retired from my day job, I was formally Vice President and COO of Akin & Porter Produce Inc. I enjoy my family which includes my lovely wife of over 35 years, Tammy, our 4 grown children, all of which are married, and we have 12 grandchildren (so far…). #IAmBlessed
My hobbies include hunting, and collecting sports memorabilia. I LOVE fried chicken legs, and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball!
What I do in my spare time……..Sunday School Teacher of the S.W.A.G. Sunday School Class, Active Deacon, Director of Banc 3 Holdings, Trustee at my alma mater Union University, high tenor for Second Generation Gospel Group, and oh yea, Tammy and I like to travel too!
Little known facts about me, I’ve performed at the American Adventure inside Epcot at Disney World. I sang the National Anthem at Busch Stadium in St. Louis in 1997. I go annually and play in Cardinal Fantasy Baseball Camp.
